Semaine de 16-20 novembre

Dear Parents: I hope you've had a great weekend. Here are the important items to know this week at school.

Our annual fall Scholastic Book Fair will be held this week in the school library. The students will be making two visits to the book fair. On Wednesday, we will go see what is available. The students can make a list of what they want to buy as well as the prices. On Thursday, we will return and those students who have brought money can make their purchases. The Book Fair will be open to parents as well on Thursday evening and Friday morning during parent-teacher interviews.

There will be no school for students on Friday, November 20 because of the PA Day.

Please note: Library will be on TUESDAY this week.

In Francais, we are looking at voice and point of view. This will help with their English animal assignment which is being written from the point of view of their animal.
I hope that by now your child has at least planned out their Habitat project. The completed diorama and research question page are due on Friday November 27.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me using your child's Agenda.

Semaine de 9-13 novembre

The most significant event of this week is Remembrance Day. The whole school will be having an assembly on Wednesday November 11 at 10:30. During this assembly, the grade 4 classes will be presenting a poem. Please help your child memorize the poem by having them recite it many times before Wednesday.  We are also asking you to please send in the names and ranks of any family members who served in the military, either Canadian or any other country. These will be displayed as part of the assembly. Parents are invited to attend the assembly too.

Our Science unit on Habitats is well under way. Hopefully your child is working on their diorama. It is due on Friday November 27th.

In Etudes Sociales, we are continuing to look at Ontario and its various resources.

As usual, The orange doutang Devoirs is due on Thursday. Several students have chosen their prizes for completing the first page of their log. Part of the nightly reading is to record what is read on the log. There is also the page for this week's summary at the back of the duotang.

Popcorn Day: This Friday is Popcorn Day. Bags are $1.00

Have a good week.
