Semaine de 25-29 janvier

Hi Parents,

I hope you all enjoyed the weekend.

Here are the highlights of what is going on this week in class.
We are finishing up our Science unit on Sound and Light with two special presentations.
Monday we have a presentation on Sound Sense. They will be talking to the students about protecting their ears and sense of hearing, volume on electronic devices etc.
On Thursday, our Scientist in Residence, Alexandra Lavictoire will conduct a workshop about the properties of sound. It should be a lot of fun.

If your child is ordering books from this month's Scholastic order, please send in the order ASAP. I'd like to get it sent.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact me through the Agenda.

Semaine du 11-15 janvier

Hello,
I missed the blog last week so a Belated Happy New Year. I hope you all enjoyed the holidays with your families. We had crazy weather last weekend but it looks better for the rest of the week.

Before the holidays, the class filled up their container of beads. This earned them a reward. As part of this reward, they do not have to write in their Duotang Orange de Lecture this week.

This week:
In Science, we are working on the properties of sound.
In Etudes Sociales, we are working our way through the  different geographical regions of Canada.
In Pys Ed, we have started the basics of vollyeball.
In Visual Arts, we are working on 3D optical illusions.

It should be a productive week.
